In 2017 we helped organise a summer workshop by Carlo Morsiani in northern Italy where the high-tech industry was connected to the architectural heritage of Jacobo Barrozzi da Vignola. In collaboration with Lisbon Architecture Triennial, University of East London, Mendrisio Academy of Architecture, Royal Academy of Art The Hague, The Berlage Center for Advanced Studies in Architecture and Urban Design, the workshop took place in a 16th century palace where students worked on 1:1 prototypes for a door, a floor, a column, an arch and a fresco. The results were shared with the local inhabitants of Vignola, a panel of Italian architects and professors from the different academic institutions in a public presentation.
