Robinia pseudoacacia offers one of the hardiest woods that can be grown locally in Europe. It is typically grown in Hungary. Lumber is known to warp as the tree grows like a corkscrew. Contrary to its heartwood, Its sapwood isn't very hardy and has to be removed. Its wood is ideally suited for window frames, but straight timber could potentially be used for temporary foundations as well. It is generally considered an invasive species in the Netherlands, but it is planted for its wood in places like Flevoland as well.
